Here are a recent selection: Dear Des, Just to let you know that I had a great (and very educational) weekend with John and the crew. Dear Tony, I just wanted to thank you for an excellent day skipper practical course which I enjoyed immensely, learnt a lot and am grateful that you were able to make the most out of challenging wind and weather conditions. I particularly appreciated your relaxed style of teaching. Dear Des, Thanks for organising the powerboat course for us - we all had a great time. Phil and I are now pretty keen to do the intermediate and advanced next - so I'll drop you a line to book up later in the autumn. Hi Des. A short note of thanks for organizing the Competent Crew Course that I finished on Sunday. My thanks also must go to Jamie who I found an excellent tutor - he was very eloquent and explained in a clear way the points that he wanted to put across he also had lots of patience and listened to his pupils (all the ideal assets of a good instructor/teacher). Additionally he is a nice guy. Des, We had a good week sailing in Greece and just wanted to say thanks for all the good training and help from you and other instructors. Though still loads to learn, we put the Italians, Americans, and Sunsailers and other flotilla rats to complete and utter shame. Hi Des, Just wanted to say what a great weekend! John is a real character with whom we all got on well with, and his softly, softly laid back approach belied his in-depth knowledge of all matters relating to sailing (and people). He somehow got the best out of us without out us being under pressure and made the whole weekend enjoyable. Hi Des, Thanks for the sailing last week, we all had a great time. John's experience shone though and I think his philosophy of training to be a sailor (not Just to pass assessments) will benefit me when on the water.
