What to Bring

piranha-crew-4You will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow, wash gear and a towel plus at least one full change of clothes. A Fleece and scarf, and if you ski then ski jacket and salopettes. Bring a hat and gloves or sun glasses and sun cream depending on the time of year.

Sailing shoes are better than trainers but not essential, however no black soles please as they mark our decks and comings sorry!  treat it as if you were going camping and the yacht is your transport and tent. We supply life jackets and wet weather gear at no charge. Please let us know in advance of any dietary requirements, you are welcome to bring any of your favorite foods, we have a fridge.

Our yachts are ‘Dry ships’ that means we do not allow alcohol whilst sailing, but of course a dram or two in the evening at the local is fine.

You will need an RYA Log Book “G15” for your instructor to sign. We can supply these at the start of your course for £8 or you can get them from the RYA or any good chandlers.

When you complete your Day Skipper or Coastal Certificate courses, please bring a passport size photo, which we will laminate into your certificate.  This is not needed for Start Yachting or Competent Crew.
